Uatny L,ou ana Carrington Smith enjoyed having their family join them over Memorial Day weekend at Fleeton Beach in Reedville. They returned home to find they had no electric due to a large bird tripping “something” on top of the transformer.
If you are away from home frequently, Cathy Lou advises you to have your electric company install a device, for a small monthly fee, that sends a message automatically to the electric company whenever the electric goes off.
I have to say the same thing happened to us on May 30 when a squirrel got the shock of his late life on our transformer. When your electric goes off, don’t assume someone else will report the outage, call the electric company from a stationary phone immediately.
