Lewis Atkins was given a surprise birthday party May 27 by his daughter, Stacy Atkins and Ryan Scott.
Guests were his wife, Dolly Atkins, Dorothy Jackson, Freddie Jackson, all of the Sperryville area, Dorothy Starks and Otha Gatewood of Washington and his brother, James Gatewood of California.
On May 30 Lewis Atkins hosted a cookout party. Guests were daughter Stacy Atkins and Ryan Scott; another daughter, Stephanie and her husband Rob Scott along with Nancy and Scott McBride, Freddie Jackson, Dorothy Starks, Otha Gatewood, Dorothy Jackson and Dolly Atkins.
The Sperryville United Methodist Church will have worship service at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, June 13. Rev. Merlin Shorb, pastor invites the public to attend.
