When 72-year old Jackie O’Shea (Ian Bannen) and his 69-year old best friend Michael O’Sullivan (David Kelly) learn that the winning ticket for the 7 million pound Irish Lottery has been pur* chased by one of their townspeople, they set out to identify the unknown winner so they can be first in line to ask for a handout.
Plying the citizens of tiny Tully More (population 52) with drinks and dinners, they soon discover that no one has seen Ned Devine lately. A quick visit to Ned finds that he has the winning ticket in hand - and died from the shock. Before long Michael has agreed to impersonate Ned and get the check - a con that will require 52 co-conspirators.
