PURSUANT to Section 170-129 of the Rappahannock County Code and Section 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors for Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, July 7, 1999 at 7:00 pm in the Courthouse in Washington, Virginia, in order to consider the following application:
SE #99-05-03 Elizabeth Lee Harris, owner of 36.17 acres in Piedmont District, zoned “A”-Agricultural (Tax Map 37, Parcel 21-G), desires to operate a Country Inn/ Lodge in Major’s Hollow near Sperryville. Use to consist of four 1-bedroom cabins and two 2bedroom cabins and a lodge. Total accommodations not to exceed 23 guests. Use allowed under Section 170-36(D) of the Rappahannock County Code; additional standards under Section 17065(E).
RZ #99-05-02 Kenneth and Averill Ring, owners of Tax Map 33/ Parcel 61, Jackson District, and the United States Postal Service (contract purchasers) desire to rezone a one (1) acre parcel of land to be used as a replacement U.S.P.S. facility in Amissville. Zoning is proposed to change from R-2 to VC, Village Commercial.
A COPY of the foregoing application is on file at the Zoning Office in Washington, Virginia, and is available for public inspection, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Said application will be presented to the Rappahannock County Planning Commission at their regular meeting on Wednesday, June 16, 1999 at seven-thirty in the evening at the Rappahannock County Courthouse for such recommendation as the Commission may wish to make pursuant to Section 170-55, if any.
