To all graduating seniors at Rappahannock High School, we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you and wish you luck. One chapter of your life is ending, but you are now heading into the real world. Many challenges lie ahead, whether you are entering college or the work force. But remember that you can do whatever you set your mind on. The future holds many possibilities. Forge ahead, and don’t let go of your dreams. Best of luck to all of you.
Election season
County and state seats up for reelection,
learn about your choices.
This week, we will know who all of the candidates are for office in both Rappahannock County and our state legislative district. It is a right and privilege, some would say that it’s even a duty, of every registered voter to get out and decide who will lead the county into the next century. Many people take the democratic process for granted. Some feel that their vote doesn’t make a difference. Others don’t want to become informed about the candidates. Contrary to belief, every single vote , counts. Furthermore, it’s not that difficult to learn about the candidates. Many of these people are listed in the phone book. Give them a call. Or take the time to speak with them at a public function. Now is a good time to start learning about our choices. With a little . effort, we can make an informed decision at the polls this November.
