For the past two years, this wonderful lady has volunteered in the RCES library where she has become friends and worked with other volunteers Mrs. Mary Curtis, Mrs. Mary Latham and Mrs. Mabel Lillard. We are grateful for her service, but also for the opportunity to have known her.
• The RCES Family regrets to announce that three very special teachers will not be returning next year. Mr. Ed Rissler, seventh grade Science teacher, has accepted a position as a High School Chemistry teacher . in Rockingham County. Ms. Beth James, first grade teacher, will be moving to Fairfax to accept a teaching position. Mrs, Kelly Estes, second grade teacher, will be taking a leave of absence to stay home with her new baby and young son. These folks have all been incredibly positive forces within our school setting and their presence will be missed tremendously but we wish them well in their new endeavors.
• The final meeting of TAC (the RCPS Technology Advisory Committee) met on Thursday, June 3 at the School Board Office to discuss technology advances within the school system to date and plans for future programs involving technology in the public schools. It is exciting to see the community come together to support such a worthwhile end.
Community leaders who have volunteered *hr>;r services on TAC are: Mr. Carl Aplin, Ms. Judy Cornwell, Mr. Craig Landrum, Mrs. Carole Lipski, Mr. Kevin Nealon, Ms Cady Soukup and Mrs. Cheri Woodard. We are very grateful to all of these folks for their generosity toward the public schools.
