• The last month of school is always incredibly hectic for students, teachers, and administrators as we try to complete ongoing projects before we break for summer vacation.
Students present year-end performances in Chorus, Band, Drama, publish the last student newspaper of the year, complete courses of study, prepare for exams, prepare for graduation and so-o-o-o much more. Staff members prepare and grade exams, direct concerts and programs, recognize outstanding student accomplishments, sign up for college courses, register for conferences, seek summer jobs to supplement their incomes.
It is an exciting time, but a stressful time as well. In spite of the added stress at this time of year the students are remaining amazingly focused and we are very proud of their efforts.
• Last Wednesday, Mrs. Amy Gubler, Gifted and Talented teacher, coordinated a program which focused on the wonderful student art and writing in the RCES Literary Magazine, “Community Connections”. Thanks go to Mrs. Harriette Rosenblatt and Mrs. Eva Atkins for assisting with the program. .For the magazine the students researched and wrote (or drew illustrations) about the history of each of the villages in Rappahannock.
