• Brown feels that local taxes are “close to the breaking point”, adding “I will dedicate myself, as Supervisor, to obtaining for the taxpayers a dollar’s worth of value for every dollar spent. We must continue Rappahannock’s tradition of fiscal responsibility.”
• Brown believes that education is key to the future of the county. “I support quality public education and would encourage groups such as Headwaters to supplement the efforts of our public school system”, says Brown. “We should emphasize quality instruction in the classroom.”
• Brown also wishes to address needs in the community. He believes that young people should have the opportunity to return to Rappahannock County after college and contribute to the community. He feels that “we should endeavor to give them this choice while working to preserve our agricultural base, which is the foundation of this community.”
