A graveside service was held on June 1 in the Woodard Family Cemetery in Locust Grove with the Rev. Wilson Corr officiating.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the Johnson Funeral Home of Locust Grove.

Gladys A. Grimes, 67, of Berryville died Wednesday, June 2 in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Grimes was born on Dec. 17, 1931 in Winchester, the daughter of the late Simon C. and Goldie McFarland Newlin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Winchester Church of God.
Her husband, Rev. B.A. Grimes, former pastor of Hambleton Pentecostal Church, predeceased her on Feb. 23, 1984.
Surviving are two sons, Timothy O. Grimes of Stephens City and Ronald A. Grimes of Culpeper; one daughter, Janice G. Palmer of Chester Gap; four grandchildren; one sister, Agnes DeHaven of Winchester and one brother, Charles Newlin of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 12 at Omps Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Ken H. Smith officiating. Interment was in Parsons City
