Director Kirk Jones, an award-winning writer and director of TV commercials spent four years writing his script and preparing to shoot his first feature film. Looking for an isolated and remote village to represent Tully More, Jones found Cregneash on the Isle of Man.
Protected by the government for the last fifty years as a working museum, there are no modern buildings at all. The entire movie was shot in Cregneash, including the interior shots, with the cramped and claustrophobic rooms providing a stunning contrast to the expansive land and seascapes that evoke thb magic of a good Irish story.
RAAC is sponsoring this movie that Siskel & Ebert called one of the year’s best films. It will be shown Friday, June 11 at 8 p.m. at The Theatre on Gay Street. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for students. Rated PG, 91 minutes.

For the period between April 22 and May 2, the Rappahannock County Building Office issued 31 permits. There were 10 new home permits, six addition/remodel/renovation permits, four new shed/barn/garage permits, one pool permits, three permits to replace roofs, five renewal permits and two foundation permits.
