appear in Flint Hill
Miss Virginia, Crystal Lewis, 21, of Roanoke will make her first public appearance in the Flint Hill Firemen’s annual parade on Friday, July 23. The parade begins at 6:45 p.m.
The firemen’s carnival will be held tonight, July 21 through Saturday, July 24 at the carnival grounds. Five Star Amusements is again providing rides and concessions and have added two new rides this year.
Wednesday night is family night and you can ride until closing for $6. All other nights, the rides are $8 for an all-you-can ride ticket until closing. The carnival starts at 7 each evening.
Wayne Blosser is again providing his “famous” chicken barbecue dinners on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and the Ladies Auxiliary is providing fine food and baked goods each evening.
Saturday night will be the crowning of the carnival queens and they will pick the winning raffle tickets for the purebred black Angus heifer, the beanie baby raffle, and the grand prize, a loaded 1999 Ford Ranger pickup truck.
