In addition, Warner served on the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee on School Facilities. This group made the decision to extend the high school to include eighth grade, rather than build a separate middle school.
Warner is a former PTA president, and lectures at the schools periodically on subjects such as black history. Warner is currently President of the Rappahannock Library Board. His current term expires at the end of the year.
Warner is also a lifetime member of NAACP, and a member of 15th Street Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC. He is an Elder in the Presbyterian Church of the United States.
