Management and Budget, where he worked as a Senior Program and Budget Analyst, in 1984 after more than 20 years of service. For the next seven years, he came back-and-forth between Alexandria and Rappahannock County while he built the house that he now lives in. That house is on property that has been in his family since 1893.
Since moving back to the county permanently in 1991 with his wife Dorothy, Warner has been active in the community. Some of the programs he has been involved in include Habitat for Humanity, D.A.R.E. and the SherifFs Office Shop with a Deputy at Christmas Program.
Warner is a member of the Rappahannock State Scenic River Advisory Board, to which he was appointed by then-Governor George Allen, the Rappahannock Historical Society, Friends of the Rappahannock Library and the Rappahannock Lions Club.
