Mrs. Sharp has a considerable interest in the county’s schools. In addition to her position at the day care center, for which she has served as director for just over ten year's, she has worked as a special education teacher in Culpeper and Rappahannock County public schools.
Mrs. Sharp currently serves on the board of Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation, and the school system’s gifted education committee. For eight years, she was one of the county’s representatives in this planning district’s Community Services Board.
