Burke for attending the register; and others who helped make everything work so well.
The raffle ticket sales and drawing were upped to accommodate several who had to leave early. Thanks to Jenny Esiner of Front Royal for handling the tickets. Lunch was then had, with Joseph Dwyer of Middletown, Va., returning thanks. After lunch we proceeded with the remainder of the program. We’d advertised the probability of having a guest from Ireland but were disappointed that he could not make it.
We also received word, too late for publication in our newsletter, via e-mail, that on July 30, 1999 a Dwyer Clan Rally will be held at Avoca Lodge, Hollyford, County Tipperary, Ireland.
Twenty-five descendants are travelling from Canada and one hundred and twenty descendants from throughout Ireland are to gather.
Next year’s reunion will be held on July 15 at the fire hall, beginning at ten o’clock promptly. Don’t forget, bring in those receipts for inclusion in the to-be-printed Dwyer Family Cook Book.
