Friends, family and the public are invited. Greg Mertz of Department of Interior, National Park Service (Historian, Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Parks) will be the guest speaker.
In 1900 a ladies association was formed to raise funds for a memorial to the Little Fork Rangers which was unveiled on May 25, 1904 and has remained on church property since that time. It had been moved once and has, once again, been moved to allow construction of a lovely new parish hall.
The Little Fork Church has undertaken repairs, cleaning, provided a new granite base and welcomes any contributions which can be designated for the memorial at the address, Little Fork Church, P.O. Box 367, Rixeyville, Va. 22737.
