2. Public Information - two community forums have explored the academic and physical needs of our schools and a five county comparative school budget study was produced and made available to all residents.

3. Summer Programs - we underwrote the summer 1998 “Clowns” program and are again sponsoring and helping to fund this summer’s production, “Heart-Cries of a Captive People.” This program of song, dance and spoken word tells the history of African-Americans and will be presented Friday, July 23 at 2 p.m. and on Saturday, July 24 at 7 p.m. at the elementary school. Admission is free. Donations will be gratefully accepted at the door.

4. Academic Recognition - in June the second annual Academic Awards Reception was presented for students and parents at RCHS.

5. Staff Appreciation - at the start of this school year we will be presenting a second annual Teacher/Staff Recognition Luncheon.

6. School Council - we have facilitated a three year program, financed by the Greve Foundation, to help strengthen communication and faculty leadership within the school system. This program is moving into its second year.
