There is nothing like a brand new vehicle to bring the caretaker out in us. We keep it clean and sparkling with regular washing and polishing and vacuuming, even on the hottest of summer days. After all...isn’t it worth it?
We must also be caretakers of our souls. In Psalms 51:10, David begs... “Create in me a clean heart, 0 God, and put a new and right spirit within me.” As with that sparkling vehicle, we are born with a new soul that we must polish daily with prayer. We must also scrub it with weekly worship as it becomes soiled with layers of the spiritual pollution of daily living.
Why not begin taking better care of your soul this week as you worship in your local church or synagogue? After all...you’re worth it!
