Hazel Zinn-Day
Home: Rock Mills Occupation: 4-H Program Support Technician, Virginia Cooperative Extension
Accomplishments: 4-H keeps Mrs. Zinn-Day busy. Some of the programs she facilitates in her position include 4-H Day Camp Program, Junior Overnight Camping Program, Share The Fun Talent Show, Achievement Night Program and workshops on subjects from quilting to tree identification. Mrs. Zinn-Day is currently busy preparing for the upcoming Culpeper-MadisonRappahannock Farm Show. She has previously won 4-H Volunteer of the Year and 4-H All-Star awards. All-star is the highest honor one can achieve in 4-H.
Mrs. Zinn-Day stays active outside of work as well. She recently participated in the Relay For Life against Cancer. She is volunteer leader of the Child Care Learning Center After School 4-H Cloverbud Club, and was recently appointed to the Rappahannock County Board of Social Services. She has also done volunteer work for the Girl Scouts and the Mary Beth Williams fund raiser. Mrs. Zinn-Day is a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Culpeper County, where she formerly taught and directed Vacation Bible School.
