Tonight is family night at the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company’s annual carnival. You can ride all evening until closing for one low price of $6. All other nights, the rides will be $8. The event will continue through Saturday night.

Five Star Amusements is again providing rides and concessions and have added two new rides this year.

The carnival starts at 7 each evening and the parade starts at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.

The newly crowned Miss Virginia 1999 will be making her first public appearance at the parade again this year.

The community is encouraged to support this endeavor. See you at the carnival!

Mrs. Linnie Cummings recently spent 10 days with Dottie Cummings visiting relatives and friends in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.

Betty Klise spent five days at Wintergreen with members of the family from Spokane, Wash., Portsmouth, Orange, and Ridgefield, Conn.

The Aileen reunion was held at the Flint Hill carnival grounds on Saturday with approximately 65 present. The event was enjoyed by all and they look forward to next year.

Elizabeth Welch attended an evening swim recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Wayland at Sperryville.

Allison Lillard of Manassas visited her grandmother, Mrs. Edna Lillard on Sunday.

The Flint Hill, Willis Chapel and Sperryville United Methodist Churches held their annual picnic at Harmony Hollow on Sunday. The group enjoyed good food, fellowship add especially the swimming pool.

Mrs. Barbara Gentry attended a Postmasters Convention in Fredericksburg from Sunday until Wednesday of last week. • Samathia Reed of Laurel Mills spent the weekend with Nikki Calisto.
