Va. and attended UVA, where she met her husband. She majored in Special Education at UVA.
Mrs. Sharp is not ready to suggest any changes for the school system just yet. She says her experience is that one has to sit on a board and see how things are working before making any changes.
She did say that she would like to see the school system use its resources as creatively as possible, while keeping taxes in check. Mrs. Sharp feels that her experience at CCLC, which includes having to combine funds from varied sources to run the center’s programs, will be helpful in looking for alternatives to the real estate tax. She also feels that the small size of the school system is a big advantage.
