The Norway Maple in our side yard is shedding green leaves. This massive tree — with a trunk at least 3 feet in diameter — did the same thing last summer. It’s not a fall — an autumnal fall — as will occur in early November, when the leaves will be buttery yellow. Green leaves, a few here and there, cover the ground under the tree.
