Lord Fairfax to

offer course

Lord Fairfax Community College will offer a three credit class, “Administrative Office Management,” at the Rappahannock County High School on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Class begins on Aug. 24 and will continue for 16 weeks. RCHS girls varsity basketball tryouts will be starting on Aug. 16 at the high school at 6 p.m. Girls must have physicals on the first day of tryouts.

Chester Gap to

host yard, bake sale

The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will be having a yard and bake sale on Saturday, Aug. 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the carnival grounds. All proceeds will be applied toward the fire department equipment fund. Residents are encouraged to support this endeavor.
