Pillar is in charge of the program “How Many Days to Christmas”. The exhibit for this month is a Christmas decoration or ornament. More than 30 4-Hers and leaders left Rappahannock Monday for a week of camp at Holiday Lake in Appomattox. They went by cars to Madison where they boarded a bus for the remainder of the trip. Carter Moffett is the recreation leader for the week.

Thursday, Aug. 8; 1974
David Thornhill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thornhill of Boston, made an outstanding showing at the Culpeper Farm Show with his swine. He showed the Grand Champion Boar, second and third place market hogs, Reserve Champion Pen of Three and won the Senior Showing and Fitting contest, thereby taking the Sweep Stake Award as outstanding swine showman.
