Price, who works at F&M’s main office in Winchester, couldn’t give an estimation of how much money was spent addressing Y2K but doesn’t believe that the amount was very high.
Scott Nininger of Union Bankshares, which owns Rappahannock National Bank and a number of other community banks, commented that all critical systems are compliant. They expect the remaining systems to be complaint soon. Union Bankshares also has contingency plans developed, and will be testing them over the next four months.
