After visiting with his cousin, he and his parents also visited with Eddie and Jennifer Suche, Michael John’s parents. Congratulations Eddie and Jennifer and welcome Michael John.
Sunday afternoon Richard and Rena Burke joined others attending the Hope Hill Baptist Church’s homecoming. The dining tables were laden with an abundance of food. After the scrumptious feast, everyone gathered to enjoy the afternoon services consisting of great gospel music and preaching.
Special singing and music was provided by Ethel Davidson of Elizabethtori, Tenn. She began by singing “Jesus Hold My Hand” and continued with many other favorites. Ethel certainly glorifies God through her songs and testimonies.
During the afternoon Mrs. Davidson was joined by Rev. and Mrs. Carl Menefee of the New Hope Baptist Church of Sperryville, to sing “When Jesus was on the Cross I was on His Mind” and other songs.
The guest speaker was Rev. Roger Freeman. His sermon was on prayer. Brother, Freeman will be preaching at Hope Hill Church through Wednesday of this week.
