Rachel Sharp of WashingtoA and Ashleigh Burke W Huntly have been an integral part of the District 14 Culpeper all star softball team, which has stormed there way to Southern Regional tournament to be held this week in Kentucky.

Sharp, an upcoming freshman at Rappahannock High( School, has put in some solid performances on the mounc^ and at the plate. Burke is a rising eighth grader at the high school. J

The team won the Virginia state title on July 18 ini Bristol. They went on to take the Southeast Regional Title or( Aug. 1, also in Bristol, having defeated teams from North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virginia.

The Culpeper team will face teams from Florida, TexfiS and other squads to be determined in this week’s regional1, The winner of the regional tournament will go on to the Little League World Series in Seattle, Wash., Aug. 16-20. !
