Hope Hill Baptist Church held their homecoming on Sunday, with Evangelist Roger Freeman bringing the 11 o’clock message for the worship services and he has been conducting revival services which close tonight, Wednesday with the 7:30 p.m. service.

Mark Bragg of Culpeper spent the past week with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peregory and family.

Wedding anniversary wishes go out to a former pastor, Elder and Mrs. Nelson Pettit, whose day is today and to my cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kelchner of Winchester, who will celebrate 50 years together on Friday, and to Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Cubbage whose day will be Tuesday.

Mrs. Ray Frazier, accompanied her mother, Mrs. Eunice Meade of Hash Lane, to Charlottesville on Friday, where she had a doctor’s appointment.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Fred Fincham, a former native of Slate Mills, who passed away Thursday at University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville.
