Tax bills mailed
2001 Rappahannock County tax bills have been mailed and must be paid on or before Dec. 5, 2001 to ayoid a penalty. Failure to receive a bill through the mail does not relieve the taxpayer of any additional charges that will accrue under law for failure to pay by the deadline. Anyone with questions should call the Rappahannock Treasurer’s Office at 675-3334 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Department invites everyone for a day of fun at its annual open house on Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be free food, blood pressure evaluations, demonstrations and also a chance to get to know your local fire and rescue department volunteers and see what your support has done for the community.
