near-highway sites selected by Sprint would require about 25 vertical feet between antennas - and hence tall towers or silos.

Co-location on hilltops can be accomplished horizontally with short antennas (maybe well one day again speak correctly of “telephone poles”) hidden in trees or against the landscape; how visible to most of us are electric poles serving houses on Rappahannock’s hills?

Finally, whatever model it prefers, we believe that our County government - before there is any final vote - should tell the citizenry how cell facilities will be taxed, and how new tax revenues will be used. We do not know what Sprint has committed to its proposed host landowners, but various lettersto-the-editor and other public comments indicate a lease range of $10,000 to $12,000 annually for each proposed new industrial site.
