The Rappahannock Board of Assessors has already heard 260 appeals from county property owners, and expects appeals to continue until Nov. 6, according to Col. E.P. Luke, chairman. There are more people lodging appeals than there were following the 1988 assessment, said Col. Luke.
On Oct. 28 seven little goblins from Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly visited Lee’s Orchard. They came in search of pumpkins for Halloween. To their surprise and delight, Mr. Lee treated them to pumpkins of their choice and also a bag full of delicious apples.
