Within the week, we will
have the opportunity, and the obligation as citizens, to vote for a Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, and Delegate. Due in part to the terrible events of Sept. 11, most of us haven’t given much thought to this election.
We should pay serious attention. As we struggle to defend our freedoms and ideals from attack by fanatics, we must pay attention to what is at stake here, at home, in these elections.
I do not think there can be any doubt, though some good people will disagree, about which party, today, best represents the basic ideals of our Founders, ideals that brought us where we are today. It is the Republican Party!
Which party believes in, works for: smaller, less intrusive governments? Republican!
Low taxes, minimum regulations? Republican!
Citizens responsible for their actions, whether individuals, businesses, public servants of all types? Republicans!
