The Rappahannock Youth Soccer League played its seventh weekend of games on Saturday, Oct. 27.
The U-8 Orange Crush team played at Madison Wrangler and met their challenge. Not withstanding an effort by Anne Stout and Patrick Foley, the team remains a cohesive unit.
Coach Letsen’s U-8er’s also played Madison on RCES field with Katie Hartman scoring and Andrew Oyster playing an all around great game. Way to go U-8s!
The U-10 girls team, Rappahannock Rapids, played a make-up game on Thursday in Madison as well as their Saturday game. Unfortunately we lost both. The Madison game ended 4-2. It was a hard fought contest with a few unlucky bounces deciding the game. Brittani Dodson scored her first goal of the season on a beautiful drive. Morgan Flournoy kept the pressure up at forward all game. Morgan Palme had some nice touches and runs from midfield. The Saturday game at home against Culpeper ended in a 1-0 loss.
Christine Pankow had some nice runs at forward in the first half and came close to scoring. But overall we played flat, not able to string together any passes or attacks.
