As our fall days grow shorter and winter approaches, students and! teachers in the Rappahannock; County Public School system are hard at work striving to reach thd many educational goals set at the start of the year.
Each fall and spring Headwaters* the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation, makes reaching these goals easier by awarding educational grants to successful applicants.
Fall applicants (teachers, administrator, parents, or students) submit a project proposal in early September. Following a review and interview with the Headwaters Grants and Allocations Committee, grants are awarded in mid-October. '
Spring applications are due in January, with awards made id February. r
On Oct. 18 Headwaters was pleased to present over $6,000 td county teaehers and administrators for innovative educational projects ai our elementary and high schools. We were also excited to have the Rappahannock National Bank.sponi sor a Corporate Award to Shelly Shankle’s third grade “Market Day Economics” project. '
