Christmas tour of homes
Get ready for the eighth annual Christmas Tour of Homes in historic Culpeper. This year's tour features seven homes and two churches on North East Street and East Piedmont Street. The South East Neighborhood Watch sponsors the tour with proceeds contributed to scholarships for Culpeper County High School students. Mark your calendar for Saturday, Dec. 1 from 12 to 5 p.m. For information call 825-8200.
Country ham dinner set
There will be an all-you-can-eat country ham dinner on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Jeffersonton Community Center. The dinner also includes gravy, biscuits, potatoes, green beans, and a dessert. Prices are $7.95 for an adult and $4.50 for children. A child’s hotdog dinner will be available for $2.50. The proceeds from this dinner will be split with Crimesolvers.
Trout Unlimited meeting set
The public is invited to hear Ms. Dawn Kirk, Forest Fisheries Biologist, George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, discuss “Trout Habitat Problems and Prospects in the Massanutten Mountain Area,” at the next meeting of the Northern Shenandoah Valley Chapter, Trout Unlimited. This program will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14 m the Youth Center, located at the northeast comer of US 522, Commerce Avenue and East 8th Street, Front Royal.
The program is sponsored by the Northern Shenandoah Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited that usually meets monthly at 7:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month. The Chapter charter includes a four-county area, all of Page, Shenandoah and Warren counties, and the northwestern part of Rappahannock County.
