burden of government. Not governments increasingly pushing us toward socialism, bit by bit - remember the Clintons’ “nationalized health care” plan?
Socialism has a very long history. As long as civilization has existed, socialism has sounded its siren call. There’s only one problem: no matter how noble and wonderful it . sounds, it fails - always and without exception - the ultimate test: it does not work!
Most of us have heard the following, though it bears occasional repeating: “Anyone under 25 who is not a socialist has no heart. Anyone over 30 who is a socialist has no head.”
Rappahannock citizens are not stupid. We won’t let ourselves be swayed from the best principles of government, developed largely by Virginians long ago, by energetic, attractive, costly advertisements.
We’ll be informed voters. We’ll elect Mark Earley, Jay Katzen, Jerry Kilgore and Allen Louderback on Nov. 6!
