Though the maple on Main Street has lost its brilliance, this exhibition of watercolors does its best to fill that gap. The Eleanor Cox watercolor show at Longview Gallery is a lively and exhilarating experience.
Eleanor Cox’s chosen subject matter are gardens and landscapes that focus on beautiful scenery, old fences, hedgerows, and occasionally a building or two. She is obviously passionate about what she paints and enjoys her task.
Her paintings resonate with her passion through her use of color. She is a confident watercolor painter and her paintings literally burst with color. She is very familiar with her palette - one made up of high chroma color generally on the warm side of the color spectrum.
