to celebrate
120th
Washington Baptist Church will celebrate its annual Homecoming Day on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Rev. David Small, former interim pastor of the church, will be the guest speaker and a covered dish lunch will follow.
A special feature of this year’s event will be a visit to the Mt. Salem Baptist Church, the mother church of Washington Baptist, at 9:45 in the morning.
A brief history of Mt. Salem Church will be given by Fran Eldred and Misty Hitt (dressed in period costume) from the Rappahannock County Historical Society.
