The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will be having their open house on Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The RCHS Band will be playing at 1 p.m., the INOVA Aircare helicopter will be landing, and the Department of Forestry will be on site.
They will have 50th Anniversary T-shirts, the anniversary book will be available and they will be doing blood pressure checks. For more information contact J. B. Carter at 937-4218.
The Amissville Baptist Church will be hosting revival services Oct. 20-24 at 7 each evening. Dr. Robert Clayton will be the guest preacher for the services. There will be special musical guests every night, including Real Men Sing Acapella, Bethel Baptist Choir, and Michelle Hitt just to name a few. The annual Halloween party at the Amissville Firehouse will be held on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. Donations of money will be accepted for candy and prizes. The costume contest will again be held along with plenty of fun games. For more information contact Sandy Carter at 937-4218.
