Michael Fairbrother’s score of 79 in the Regionals earned him a spot in the VHSL Class A State Golf Championship. Mike was one of only 24 who competed as individuals. In addition, there were eight teams competing for the team championship.
Diana Meza of Goochland won the Individual title. The team champion was Giles. The championship was played over two days at the Tartan Golf course near Kilmarnock, Va. The course was very demanding, requiring both accuracy and length of the tee.
Scores for the Individuals ranged from the winning score of 151 to a high of 193. Mike was in the middle of the field with a 176.
