Open house at Wakefield
Wakefield School in The Plains will host an Open House for prospective students and their parents at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10. Faculty members, students, alumni, parents, Headmaster Peter Quinn, and Director of Admissions Vicky Jann-Lewis will participate in an open forum, during which time they will provide an overview of the school and answer questions from guests.
Following the forum, prospective students and their parents will be given a guided tour. For information or to RSVP, contact Vicky Jann-Lewis at 253-5393.
Hunter safety courses set
Hunter safety courses will be held in Culpeper and Fauquier this year and Rappahannock residents are encouraged to participate. In Culpeper, classes will be held Nov. 5 and 6 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and all day on Nov. 9 beginning at 8 a.m. For additional information call John Dodson at 5432070.
In Fauquier classes will be held at the Warrenton Police Training Center on Carriage House Lane on Nov. 9, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Nov. 10, noon to 4 p.m. The class is open to the first 65 people and again contact Mr. Dodson.
Open studio every Sunday
An open studio will be held every Sunday from Oct. 20 through Dec. 15 with the exception of Thanksgiving weekend at Flickinger Studios, located behind Glassworks Gallery in Sperryville. Open drawing will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and open sculpting from 2 to 5 p.m. For more information call 987-9500.
