The Flint Hill Fire Department will sponsor an open house on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. and members of the community are encouraged to come out and support the event.
Wayne Blosser will serve his famous barbecue and the Ladies Auxiliary will serve slaw, desserts, etc.
Pony rides will be available for the children to enjoy. The Buck Hill Blue Grass Band of Forks Run, Va. will play for the event. The haunted house will start at 7 p.m. The community is welcome.
The Flint Hill Baptist Church homecoming was held on Sunday with a covered dish dinner following and was well attended.
The Flint Hill United Methodist Women will meet at the home of Candy Lamma on Monday, Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m.
Nell Brill of Alexandria spent from Saturday until Monday as a houseguest of her friend, Mrs. Mary Curtis.
Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Hawkins of Fredericksburg were Wednesday visitors of the latter’s mother, Mrs. Edna Lillard. Sunday visitors were Mark and Diane Graves and Katelyn of Summerduck.
