Jessie Moore

Chester Gap resident

Jessie Lee Moore, 66, of Chester Gap died Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Winchester Medical Center.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Marshall Baptist Church by the Rev. Sam Jones. Burial was in the Ivyhill Cemetery in Upperville.

Mrs. Moore was born Nov. 18, 1933 in Charles Town, W.Va., daughter of the late William A. and Viola Lanham Boyd.

Surviving are her husband, George W. Moore Jr.; six daughters, Patricia Wines of Bealeton, Margaret Kilby of Calverton, Brenda Wright of Remington, Nancy Williams of Middleburg, Catherine Costello and Pam Chapman, both of Marshall; three sons, Robert Moore of Shenandoah Shores, David Moore of Berryville and George Moore of Linden; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mildred Cingel of Mesa, Ariz., Margaret Frye of Leesburg and Barbara Mauck of Tennessee and two brothers, William Boyd Jr. of Stephens City and Robert Boyd of Mesa, Ariz.

Royston Funeral Home in Marshall was in charge of the arrangements.
