Robert, 63, pleaded guilty last month in Fauquier County Court in a plea agreement to two charges of indecent liberties with a minor and one charge of abduction. He is out on bond, awaiting sentencing on Dec. 16. The offenses occurred in November and December 2000, according to law enforcement authorities, when the foster child was a 17year-old Rappahannock County high school student. She is nowT a 19-year-old student at Shenandoah University, studying music.

Mr. Mills said the school board has “gathered information” and talked to Mrs. Fournier in “a previous closed session two weeks ago.”

The assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney handling Mr. Fournier's case said that Mrs. Fournier did not report the sexual abuse allegations when she was told by the foster child. The director of the Department of Social Services also said she did not recall Mrs. Fournier reporting the allegations.
