The Panthers have had their successes against teams that ran more modem offenses.
“When they get to me, they’ve played two years,” Pullin said. “They’re playing against kids who’ve played 10 years.”
Pullin pointed out that RCHS and George Mason both had 15 first downs.
“In 48 minutes of football,” Pullin said, “I’m willing to bet we had it for 30 minutes.”
The Panthers have controlled the ball the past two games.
“My offensive line has been able to run block,” Pullin said.
Junior running back Nick Compton had 84 yards on 20 carries. Berry had 58 yards rushing. The Panthers racked up 154 yards rushing as a team.
“We’re getting to where we can move the ball on the ground,” Pullin said. “For two games now, we’ve been able to move it.”
Eric Phillips led the Panther defense in tackles, with seven and three assists.
“Eric had a great game on defense,” Pullin said. "He's really coming along this year.”
Justin Robinson had six tackles and four assists for the Panthers.
