In renewing the Flint Hill column, it is my intention to focus on the many interesting goings on” in and around Flint Hill and open a forum for reporting on our general history and current events.
The village of Flint Hill has a rich and colorful history dating jack to 1728. Did you know that Route 522, running north to south directly through Flint Hill was originally named Chesters Gap Road? Along this route traveled Manahoac Indians as well as those from other tribes, leaving behind relics such as arrow heads still found from time to time.
