Of the many factors that ( are contributing to our quickly rising tax rates, development is the main villain. Throngs of people are quickly being pushed to our county due to the over-development of every other county that has a development friendly board of supervisors. Our county has become very desirable to some very deep pockets.
I think it’s a shame the people who have weaved the fabric of our beautiful county for so long a period are being priced right out of the wonderfiil places we live. Tax relief measures appear on voting ballots every so often; it will pay to educate ourselves and vote to keep Rappahannock and its longtime residents safe and happy at home.
