NOVEMBER 4 & 18 New Mother Support Group If you have just given birth to your first child or your next child, you will find a warm welcome to this supportive group. The group meets on the first and third Thursday of each month and will be led by a registered nurse Babies and healthy siblings are invited, as well. You can weigh your baby, ask questions, share ideas and concerns with other moms Registration is not required, but please call 829-4114 to confirm date and time 10-11:30 am
NOVEMBER 8 Siblings Being a good big brother or sister to a new baby is a very important job! You are invited to bring your child or children (over age 3) to this free class at the Family Birth Center to receive guidance and great advice to prepare for a new child in the family Please pre-register by calling 829-4114. 7-8 pm
NOVEMBER 15 Breastfeeding Learn about the benefits and techniques of breastfeeding from an internationally certified lactation consultant in our region. Fathers-to-be are encouraged to attend with mothers-to-be. Please pre-register for this free class at the Family Birth Center by calling 829-4114. 7-9 pm
NOVEMBER 22 Infant Care and Car Seat Safety This free class at the Family Birth Center is important for families having their first or next child. You will get current information about caring for newborns and vital information about child car seats including state legal requirements as well as correct installation. STARTING NOVEMBER 29 LAMAZE Prepared Childbirth Series To prepare for your delivery day, the Family Birth Center provides in-depth instruction on labor, delivery, pain control, relaxation techniques, vaginal and cesarean birth and other topics surrounding .the birth experience to you and your labor coach. Prepared Childbirth is taught by a Registered Nurse who is certified in LAMAZE Childbirth Education. The cost for a complete series is $50 Final series of the year is only five weeks starting November 29 then continuing December 6, 13, 20, 27 7-9:10 pm
