Nora F. Jenkins

Nora Frances Jenkins, 84, of Gordonsville, Va. died Oct. 20 at the Culpeper Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Jenkins was bom May 27. 1920 in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late James Haywood Jenkins and Lucille Dove Dodson Jenkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Henry Jenkins, Sr., four brothers, Willie, Jerry, Ivan and Richard Jenkins, three sisters, Margaret and Rosie Jenkins and Nellie Sisk, and a grandson John Dyer.
Mrs. Jenkins is survived by two sons, LawTence Jenkins and wife Mary of Gordonsville, Va., and Robert Jenkins Jr. and wife Janice of Washington, and four daughters, Shirley Jenkins of Gordonsville, Va., Margaret McKenzie of Culpeper, Gertie Marks of Madison, and Mary Dyer and husband Jay of Orange.
Additional survivors include 13 grandchildren, 24 greatgrandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Oct. 23 at Freddy Funeral Chapel in Orange with Gino Bryant and Rev. Jon Heddleston officiating. Interment followed in Sperryville Cemetery.
Esther Z. Leonard

Esther Zane Racer Leonard, 83 of Arlington and formerly of Rappahannock died Oct. 22 at Cherrydale Nursing Home in Arlington, Va.
Mrs. Leonard was bom Oct. 7, 1921, daughter of the late James Carroll Racer, Sr. and the late Mary Pauline Quarrels.
She was a 1941 graduate of Rappahannock County High School. She worked for the Veterans Administration and retired in 1989.
Mrs. Leonard was a parttime Sunday School Teacher and member of the Oakley Baptist Church in Gid Brown Hollow, until the church closed, then she became a member of the Arlington Baptist Church. She was a member of the
