and be injured for no real and immediate threat to us; before our invasion caused the injuries and deaths of thousands of innocent Iraqis—"collateral damage"—turning the friends and families of those killed and injured into new haters of America and ripe for the picking of the terrorists; before the price of gas doubled; before the stock market tanked; before friends and close associates of Cheney got no-bid billion dollar contacts to rip us off; before it was declared illegal for the government to negotiate lower prices from the drug companies; before our civil rights, including habeas corpus disappeared; before thousands and thousands of good jobs left the country never to return; before we lost the historic surplus and converted it into an ever growing deficit; on and on and on.
In the real world of nine to five, when you fail to successfully perform your duties, you get a pink slip. On Nov. 2, FIRE THE BUMS.
Our elected officials do not respect us; they only respect the money trail. Take back the power and vote out the current power structure. Put a little fear into the hearts of the politicians.
